Leaving the Station...

Howdy everyone!

If I haven’t met you yet, please allow me to introduce myself:

My name is Stacey Breakall, and I am a performer and producer out of Austin. My previous credits include: creator/producer of Flea Market Film Festival and Kitty Kitty Bang Bang Burlesque, and the co-creator/co-producer of Texas Burlesque Festival. I have been performing as Tijuana Trixie in Kitty Kitty Bang Bang for the past seven years and have picked up other odds and ends along the way.

I am currently creating a new project called Flatbed Cabaret. Flatbed Cabaret is a highly imaginative, no-frills, portable roadside attraction that captures the essence of a mom and pop traveling circus. (Read: Mae West meets David Lynch meets the Muppets) It focuses on supporting the expansion of vaudeville and the theater of et cetera. True to its name, this show is staged upon a flatbed trailer that has been transformed into a quirky and spectacular theater.

Over half of each show incorporates a rotating cast of guest performers, particularly those who are considered fringe, under-served, or whose performance frequencies are limited by available venues. This includes, but is not limited to, acrobats, mimes, clowns, fire-handlers, wrestlers, ventriloquist, belly-dancers, film-makers, cartoonists, magicians, contortionists, poets, and DIY entertainers from the broader Austin community.

I would love to hear from interested writers, directors, and performers.

Cheers,

Stacey
